Immediate Boarding for Prevention

Immediate boarding. Since 16 March 2026, French employers have officially had access to the Prevention Passport platform and are now required to declare the mandatory training they provide in-house.

What is it exactly? This passport is designed to record occupational health and safety training courses and certifications, make them easier to track, anticipate their expiry or renewal, and allow both employers and employees to know where they stand.

In time, it will include, for example, the certificate of aptitude for safe driving (Caces*), workplace first-aid training, health and safety training for CSE** members, as well as training relating to specific risks, such as asbestos.

And this is far from a purely theoretical issue. In 2023, France recorded 589,541 workplace accidents, including 810 fatal accidents, as well as 50,637 occupational diseases officially recognised by the French National Health Insurance Fund***.

In this area, the employer is not merely a passenger. It is the employer’s responsibility to organise prevention, and training is one practical lever for doing so. A simulator is also available to check which obligations apply.

With a name like the Prevention Passport, it almost sounds like the beginning of a journey. In reality, it is above all a step towards clearer, more operational management of employers’ occupational health and safety obligations.

Passport up to date, smoother flight ahead.

ærige is here to support you on board.

*Caces = Certificat d’aptitude à la conduite en sécurité, a French certification authorising employees to operate certain work equipment safely.
**CSE = Comité social et économique, the employee representative body in French companies, combining staff representation, health and safety, and working conditions matters.
