QVCT Week 2025 kicked off last Monday. For its 22nd edition, performance and well-being are on the same starting line. Are you ready to cross the finish line?
Running a business in 2025 is a bit like preparing for a stage race. The key to success? Finding the right balance between performance requirements and optimal conditions for the staff.
Every year, French companies with more than 50 employees must enter into annual negotiations on Quality of Life and Working Conditions (called “QVCT” in France).
This mandatory negotiation, governed by Articles L2242-1 and L2242-17 of the Labor Code and by the National Interprofessional Agreement of June 19, 2013, is an opportunity to address significant issues: teleworking, flexible working hours, the right to disconnect, work-life balance, and gender equality in the workplace.
Failing to make this shift means risking criminal penalties, internal friction, and a general decline in motivation. But when negotiated well, QVCT is a catalyst for retaining talent, boosting engagement, and driving long-term performance.
PS: Did you know? To better understand dialogue in the workplace, the National Agency for the Improvement of Working Conditions (called “Anact” in France) launched a major national consultation last April. The results can be found on the Anact website and via LinkedIn.
